About me and this blog

Hi, I'm Raven. I'm the co-founder of Pryanta Healing, where I work as a shamanic healer. My business/healing partner, Pam and I founded our practice in 2004. We assist people in moving past the places where they're tripping over themselves.
Our specialty is dealing with darker energy. We didn't set to become fluent in the stuff most other healers don't want to deal with. When we first started working together, that's what the Universe sent our way. Both Pam and I are pretty good about paying attention to those  sort of "coincidences". We stepped up and discovered that we both have an aptitude for that kind of work. Ghosts and entities and portals, oh my!
At one point we started a blog off the the main Pryanta web site. I found it hard to keep up. Because it was linked to our business site, I felt like I was writing as representative of the Pryanta. It was hard to come up with a topic every few days that pertained to healing or Pryanta.
Viva La Duende! is just mine. I created it during a writing slump to keep me writing, It's my place to ramble about healing, writing, being a human on this tilting planet and things that go bump in the night....or in broad daylight.
Healer wasn't on my list of things I wanted to be when I grew up. My eclectic resume includes: cook, sous chef, DJ, corn detasseling, psych tech in 3 inpatient rehabs, building props for an opera company and several years as a computer geek. It wasn't until Pam and I stated working together that I lost a nagging sense of not doing what I'm here to do.
I'm also a poet, a visual artist, an introvert and an explorer - of my own dark corners, non-ordinary reality, healing and anything that looks interesting. I have two online stores, Mishmash and Mishmash2 where I sell my designs on t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, skins for phone and ipods, plates, cards and other stuff.
I've lived in Taos, New Mexico since 2000 and love it. How could you not when it looks like this:
